New Dominion Tourist debuted in 2011 with Spring/Summer and Fall issues. The magazine is published by Augusta Free Press LLC under the direction of Chris Graham, Crystal Graham and Mark Miller.

New Dominion Tourist covers dining/food, history, outdoors, sports, music, art, theater and family events primarily offered in Waynesboro, Staunton, Augusta County and Harrisonburg, Va. The magazine and online website also covers regional and national destinations and provides up-to-date event listings throughout the year.

 

Chris Graham, Editor

 Chris Graham is a 16-year veteran of print and web media, radio and television. Chris is the owner of Augusta Free Press LLC. In addition to leading our web-development division, he is also in charge of all of the content made available online or in print on Augusta Free Press and in The New Dominion Magazine and New Dominion Tourist. He is also the web editor and media and public-relations coordinator for the Waynesboro Generals Valley League baseball team, the web-content editor for the Waynesboro Family YMCA, and the marketing and web coordinator for Awesome Wrestling Entertainment. He is a regular guest on numerous regional radio programs on both news and sports. He has as well published two books, Stop the Presses, a humor column collection, and Judge Not, a political thriller, both available online at Amazon.com. He also co-authored with Patrick Hite Mad About U: Four Decades of Basketball at University Hall in 2006. Chris is a veteran of The News Virginian, a Waynesboro-based daily newspaper, and The Charlottesville-Albemarle Observer and The Shenandoah Valley Observer, both weeklies. He has won 15 Virginia Press Association awards for his reporting and writing.

 

Crystal Graham, Sales/Layout

Crystal Graham is a 12-year veteran of the news industry in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley and a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in communications. She primarily leads the efforts of graphic design and sales for Augusta Free Press LLC. In her sales capacity, she represents Augusta Free Press, The New Dominion Magazine, New Dominion Tourist Online and Print, the Y Magazine and all sports marketing related to the Waynesboro Generals Valley League baseball team. Crystal has an extensive background in print newspapers, having served as managing editor of The Shenandoah Valley Observer and The Charlottesville-Albemarle Observer. She began her career working as the lifestyles editor at The News Virginian in Waynesboro. Crystal has won eight Virginia Press Association awards for her design and writing work. In 2007, she had her first book, Crystal Clear, published. It features a collection of columns she has written and is available at Amazon.com.

 

Mark Miller, Photojournalist

Mark Miller is an award winning photographer, with more than 20 years in the photography business. He has managed a retail camera store, photo lab and served as a staff photographer for a major news paper chain before opening his own commercial studio. Based in Virginia, his work takes him around the state and occasionally around the country. His work has appeared in national magazines, papers and trade journals. Much of his work is done for architectural and interior design clients for publication. A gifted portrait photographer, Mark brings an artistic vision to his custom portraits on location or in the studio. Mark’s fine art photography business, Mark Miller Photography, has grown around the region. Mark is also a founding member of Studio 108, a rental studio in Waynesboro.
